Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of WhyLegder, operated by Why Legder (“WhyLegder”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use WhyLegder.

You must be at least 18 years old to use WhyLegder. You’re responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your login secure. Sign-in is handled through Google; you agree to provide accurate information and to notify us of any unauthorized use.

WhyLegder is an intelligence layer for your meetings. It can join live calls, or process recordings, audio files or transcripts you provide, to build a searchable memory of decisions, commitments, questions and context — with the supporting quote for each. It can answer questions about your work, and prepare briefs and follow-ups.

You confirm that you have the right to bring in every meeting, recording, audio file or transcript you submit, and that doing so does not violate anyone’s rights or any agreement or law. We are not responsible for meetings recorded or uploaded without the necessary consent.

You agree not to:

• Use WhyLegder to record or process meetings without the required consent, or for any unlawful, harmful or deceptive purpose.
• Upload content you don’t have the right to use, or that infringes others’ rights.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Resell or provide the service to third parties except as expressly permitted.
• Use the service to build a competing product.

You own the meetings, recordings, transcripts and other content you bring in (“Your Content”), and the memory WhyLegder derives from it. You grant us a limited license to host, process and analyze Your Content solely to provide and improve the service for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not claim ownership of Your Content and do not sell it or use it to train third-party AI models.

We own the WhyLegder software, brand, and all intellectual property in the service itself. These Terms don’t transfer any of our IP to you.

WhyLegder uses AI to transcribe, translate and interpret meetings. Outputs — including transcripts, summaries, extracted decisions and answers — may contain errors or omissions, and are provided to assist you, not to replace your own judgment. Every material claim links to its source so you can verify it. WhyLegder does not provide legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. Always confirm important information before acting on it.

• Free and paid plans are available for individuals; team (Organization) plans are offered separately, currently via waitlist.
• Paid plans include a monthly allowance of meeting time and are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled.
• Free trials, where offered, convert to a paid plan at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.
• Usage beyond your plan’s allowance, and any add-ons you purchase, are billed according to the pricing shown at the time.
• You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
• We may change prices or plan features with reasonable notice; changes apply from your next billing period.

WhyLegder works alongside third-party services (such as meeting platforms and the providers listed in our Privacy Policy). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we’re not responsible for them.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI outputs will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhyLegder and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

You agree to indemnify and hold WhyLegder harmless from claims and losses arising out of your use of the service, Your Content, your failure to obtain required consents, or your breach of these Terms.

You may stop using WhyLegder and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that creates risk or legal exposure. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and liability) will continue to apply.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and the courts of [Jurisdiction] will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of WhyLegder after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
